09/21/2008 Hasbro Adventure Heroes Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom wave review
The packaging is pretty much the same as the rest of Hasbro's Heroes toy lines across their other boys action figure lines. This one has the Indiana Jones graphics theme to it. A clear large bubble gives you a pretty ample view of the figures inside. You will need this nice view when looking for figures with nice paint jobs (more later).
These packages seem to hold up to shelf wear pretty well as I have never had any trouble finding them in nice packaging. This series still has the game pieces in it to mail off for the Indiana Jones and horse set.
I wasn't so excited for another Indiana Jones but at least this one looks like he should for the movie. It was hard to get a decent shot of his eyes because his hat brim comes down pretty low.
These figures can come with some spotty paint jobs. Quality of the paint application has always been an issue I have had with these Heroes figures. I often have to hunt through the pegs to find examples with the best paint apps. Willie was a hard one for me to find with decent paint. I am still not 100% satisfied with it.
These figures are sculpted in the same style of the other Hasbro Heroes lines and would fit well in with any of the Heroes figures.
There is not very much articulation in these figures - usually just a couple of joints - but it is usually enough to get a good pose or two out of the figure.
It is kind of funny Mola Ram comes with flames in his hand instead of a heart. I know it is a kids toy but I find it funny they went with playing with fire over just having an empty hand. These figures should cost you around $5.99 per two pack and are shipping now. I found mine at Target. I am giving these figures all a *** out of five star rating. They are cute but not the most exciting wave - I didn't jump with excitement when I saw them. However I still was satisfied with them and I am happy to have them in my Heroes collection.
